This blog is written by a Jennifer from La Jolla, CA., who, among other things, is a professional photographer,  a wife of 20-plus years, the mother of two very cool teenagers, a passionate sports fan, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a music lover (especially college radio from the 1980s–I was a DJ).

Prior to moving to La Jolla, I lived 15 very happy years in Atlanta. Before that, home was in Athens, GA. where I earned a journalism degree from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), and met my future husband. I grew up in Richmond, VA., a city of monuments, where the word river is always pronounced rivah.

According to Nameberry.com, there were close to 800,000  Jennifers born in the 1970s.  I believe it! I  never had fewer than two other Jennifers in my class when growing up, yet now as an adult, I know only a few. Where’d they all go?

You can call me Jennifer or Jen, but never Jenny–please. If you’d like to contact me, please do so at: http://www.jenniferfoxarmourphotography.com

  1. If you mention Donovan and Guinevere, then you know how awesome his “Guinevere” song is? At least the live versions (not so much the studio version, I think). . .

    • Andy, I am sorry to say I don’t! The only Donovan songs I know are “Jennifer Juniper” (my dad used to sing it to me), “Mellow Yellow” and “Sunshine Superman.” I will be sure to check out “Guinevere.” Thanks for mentioning it!

  2. Happy to find your blog Jennifer-great stuff. I think I found you through @DrapesGirl’s twitter feed. I’ve got two teenage boys and have been married for 20 years, love in lovely SoCal and sure appreciate your great sense of humor. Keep it up!

  3. Hello Jennifer,

I would like to inquire about some of your photos do you have a business phone or e-mail I could reach you at?

  4. Great About Me page. As a Jennifer born in the 70’s, I have to agree – I always had a minimum of 2 Jennifers in every class. I especially remember third grade with three “Jennifer M”s.

Also, Forrest Gump ruined Jenny (ie). Just saying.
