(Not) Wordless Wednesday

This would have driven Rockwell nuts.

(Not) Wordless Wednesday

Antique Garage Restaurant, NYC.

I took this photo with my Droid.  Not sure if the bartenders knew what I was doing, but if they did, they didn’t seem to mind.  There’s a story here.  Probably several.  Feel free to use the comment section to tell it.

If you are interested in seeing more, I’ve posted several of my photos from NYC on my flickr account.

(Not) Wordless Wednesday

(If you’ve visited Black’s Beach, you know just how perfect this illustration is. I had another photo I wanted to share, but am afraid of being arrested, so…)

I live in arguably one of the most beautiful cities in the United States. The weather here, for the most part, is outstanding. And yet, I am lazy when it comes to exploring. I rectified that a bit this past Sunday by spending a time at the Torrey Pines Gliderport and then hiking down to Black’s Beach. My brother and his girlfriend were in town from Virginia, and I am pretty sure they’ll never forget their first (only?) trip to Black’s Beach.

Are you good about exploring your city or town? Or do you, like me, wait until you have visitors to entertain?

*whispered* It’s Wednesday, which on some blogs means that photographs are posted without the accompaniment of words. I am not following that protocol. /*whispering*

These flowers are part of the bouquet my husband and I presented to our daughter after her final performance in the Caucasian Chalk Circle. The play, written by Bertrolt Brecht, was put on by my daughter’s high school last weekend. She kicked butt in the role of Grusha.
